Cover-up especialist
Hi, my name is Tati, and during my 9 years tattooing, I couldn't ignore the number of people asking for help to rescue their skin from bad decisions and poorly executed tattoos. This is why I decided to work with individuals who are recovering from these realities, ensuring their self-confidence by transforming the way they see themselves.
How I work with cover-ups
As you can see, each of my clients' results varies, as not all needs are the same. Some clients have tattoos that are not very strong, which can influence the number of sessions required. Others may need more sessions. It is a process that requires patience and does not follow an exact recipe.
To cover an old tattoo, I recommend a minimum of 2 to 3 sessions. Here is the breakdown of the sessions:
In the first, we will begin the process of neutralizing the previous tattoo. During the period, which usually takes about a month, the old tattoo may be visible. In the second session we will work on the tattoo again, neutralizing the previous design once more. Once healed, the old tattoo may no longer be visible, and a third session may not be necessary; this will depend on how your skin heals.
How about the prices?
The price of each session will depend on the number of hours worked. Generally, the first session is where we work more hours. In consecutive sessions, it will depend on the size and quantity of the tattoos we are going to cover.
Prices:
Half-day session (4 - 5 hours) - $800.00
Full day session (5-8 hours) - $1200.00
Small tattoos (up to 4 hours) - $500.00
What does neutralizing a tattoo mean?
Neutralizing a tattoo is a technique developed to allow us to work without needing to darken your new tattoo. In the past, tattoo artists believed that an old tattoo could only be covered with a darker new one, but this approach does not result in a clean tattoo. instead, it creates a heavier look that still shows through a cover-up.
Now, with neutralization, we open the pores of the skin tattooed with lighter pigments to break down the pigments already in the skin. The more neutralization sessions there are, the more the tattoo will be camouflaged, allowing us to do lighter work on top without it appearing as a cover-up, but rather as a new, clean tattoo.
Let's recover your skin and create a new tattoo?
You can share photos of your tattoos and inform me if you have a particular theme in mind for your new tattoo.
You can send them to me on Facebook, Instagram, or through text message.
How is your new tattoo created?
I will study how we can use the ideas we decided to cover up your tattoo, working around the elements chosen by, respecting our limitations, and working with reality.
I start this process when the client confirms their first session, as a down payment is necessary based on the price of the first session, which ranges from $150 $450.00, depending on the size and complexity of the cover-up.
The art is sent 3 - 2 days before the appointment for your approval.
